Shah lives by the belief that ‘Where there is art, there is life.’ Whether it’s a beautiful illustration or an eye-catching line, creative work never fails to fascinate him. This love for pixels and words became the driving force behind the birth of Monkey Wrench.
“On a regular Sunday afternoon, while chilling and debating over a good name for our graphic design studio, a hard nut fell on my head and cracked an idea open. I told Joshi excitedly, ‘I have a name.’ And that’s how our baby, Monkey Wrench let out its first cackle,” says Shah.
A staunch perfectionist who believes creativity cannot be acquired at a fancy institution with a flawless degree, it’s born from the passion to breathe life into ideas. And, to bring his ideas to life, he founded Monkey Wrench in 2002.
‘I believe in order to create, inspire, or dazzle the world; all we need is an idea. Once you’ve cracked an idea and figured out who will laugh or relate to it the most, that’s marketing for you. These things cannot be learnt in textbooks,’ says Joshi.
With an unbridled appetite for wanderlust, Kusumanjan has always believed in traveling the uncharted roads. It’s no wonder then that after graduating from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata with a degree in commerce, he decided to work with Teach for India – where he learned how communication and marketing can bring about a positive impact in the lives of people. This, in turn, led him to the corridors of Response India and JWT, India – where, for the last eight years, he has been working with clients like Tata, Linc, Exide, Joy and more.
A lover of everything old school, Madhura has been in the practice of building a voice for brands over the last 10+ years across a wide sector that includes enterprise brands and FMCG brands. She believes content can be inspiring not only on a billboard but even on a visiting card. Strange fact: Not a dog person, but she enjoys spotting tigers on safaris.
